Functional principles
The EUROSONICweld System, consisting of an ultrasound generator and an oscillating unit, may be used for rivet welding, surface welding and spot welding, whereby the electronic oscillations produced by the generator are transformed into mechanical oscillations by the converter. These mechanical oscillations are conveyed to the work piece with the aid of a purpose-built sonotrode. Within a fraction of a second, the ultrasonic oscillations create frictional heat on the joining surfaces of the work pieces, which causes the material to melt and thus bond.
